Amy Halcomb
Teacher, Student, and Mother in Colleyville, TX
I am a Human Resources paraprofessional at Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD currently with the goals is moving into the leadership realm of human resources. I hope to become an HR Coordinator within a local school district where I can continue to have an impact on the youth of that district through by daily work.
I am a technologically savvy professional and I thrive on improving processes by creating spreadsheets, documents, and processes that will increase productivity and enhance an employee's job duties. My least favorite phrase is “That's how we've always done it." I am always trying to find better ways and improvements.
My personal interests range from technology to education. I often find myself taking on the role of teacher in my current position as I lead meetings, initiate networking meetings, share new data, and teach improved processes.
I am also interested in DIY, animals, and outdoors. I have Sphynx cats and a Xoloitzcuintle which are both hairless breeds. They are truly amazing animals with big hearts. I get a lot of people who have never heard of the breeds, nor seen them, so they are very popular when we are out and about.
