I'm an artist and activist working at the intersection of creative communications, technology and social change.

In 2015 I cofounded Plan C to normalize direct access to safe abortion pills in the US. In 2023 I was named one of FastCompany’s Most Creative People in Business and a Rock+Health Systems Disruptor. I lead impact-driven creative studio Eyes Open and hold 20+ years navigating complex social issues, from human trafficking and gender equity to artist’s rights and free speech.

I'm also a musician, and put on immersive shows with my husband in post-apocalyptic space folk band Formerly Alien and solo under the artist name Amy Batara (@amy.batara).
