Amy Merrill is an artist and activist working at the intersection of creative communications, technology and social change. She is cofounder & digital director for Plan C, a movement to transform abortion access by mainstreaming the safe, effective method of abortion pills by mail (plancpills.org). Her design studio Eyes Open (eyesopendesign.com) leads web design and strategy consulting for purpose-driven people and groups. Before this she cofounded and led social enterprise for impact travel, Journey (wejourney.co), and she is currently an advisor for the Jane Club digital village (janeclub.com). Amy writes and performs music with her partner in post-apocalyptic concept band Formerly Alien (formerlyalien.com) and under the artist name Amy Batara (@amy.batara). She lives in Los Angeles with her partner and tuxedo cat.
