Louisville, Kentucky, United States
Welcome to my blog, and thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about the person behind the lens and written words. I'm a southern gal to some (those North of KY), a mid-western gal to others (those south of KY), a Colorado-born native, and most of all a woman with a passion for fashion, photography, and writing. I'm making it happen in the great city of Louisville, KY where the grass is green and the tea is sweet.
As a woman living in the middle of the US rather than your major metropolitan city, I know what it's like to wear fashion-forward outfits that poeple around you just don't understand. I love finding ways to make these fashions work in the environment I live in, and pushing it to the limits so that it feels just right.
I am not a model-thin chick, though I am the height of a Supermodel, so I will refer to myself as a Glamazon seeing as I have a booty like Iggy Azalea, and I am proud of that! Working in retail I noticed many women trying to force their uniquely beautiful selves into clothes that just were not made for their figure, and letting it bring them down. The absolute best thing you can do for yourself is dress for your body type. This gives you confidence and makes you look and feel fabulous. I hope to cover not only my own unique differences, but also others' so that we can all start feeling great about the way we look, regardless of size, shape or figure.
Size is one part of the fashion challenge, but the other all too often issue is budget. Believe me, I get this one! I live in the real world, where going out and buying a Chanel handbag is a lifelong goal/fantasty, not an every season reality. I'm going to share some of my tips and tricks along the way for getting the best quality clothing for your budget, and being smart about which pieces to add, and which to pass on so that you look amazing, but still have some money leftover to actually go out and be seen in your lovely frocks.
Thanks again for stopping by, and please leave comments and feedback as I love hearing from my readers!
