Amy Pfeffer Orchard Buffalo
Clinical Social Worker in Orchard Park, NY, USA
Mrs. Pfeffer is a dedicated volunteer in her community in addition to her professional activities. She is tremendously involved in helping individuals around her find creative and healthy outlets to occupy their time as a result of her work with children and teenagers. She is a peer mentor with the Veteran Courts of Niagara Falls and Buffalo. She previously volunteered as a suicide hotline operator for Crisis Services and coached softball and tee ball for the Orchard Park Little League.
She gained an appreciation and respect for members of the United States military and the sacrifices they make to serve throughout her time in the army. She pays tribute to them by volunteering as a peer mentor in the Buffalo and Niagara County Veteran Courts. She's also taken part in Project Odyssey's photography program for combat veterans. Which is a veteran mental health program that focuses on helping service members build happy and productive environments in which they can thrive and develop strong resilience skills while overcoming the invisible wounds they may have sustained during their time in battle. Amy works with the program's creator to continue offering services to other veterans once the program is completed.
Amy Pfeffer is also a registered Foster Care Provider with Buffalo, NY-based Child and Family Services. She and her family care for a number of youngsters who are in the foster care system.
