Amy Wainscott is an active oboist/English horn performer & teacher in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and is on staff at Highland Park United Methodist Church in the Music & Arts Department.

A native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Amy received her Masters in Oboe Performance at Southern Methodist University and her Bachelor in Oboe Performance at Arkansas State University. Her principal teachers have been Erin Hanngian (Dallas Symphony) and Dan Ross (Tupelo Symphony - Ross Gouge Inventor).

She has been teaching oboe, English horn, & double reed ensembles in the DFW area since 2006. Amy maintains a private oboe and English horn studio & freelances with various ensembles in the DFW area.

At HPUMC, Amy works in the Music & Arts Department as Executive Assistant to the Director of Music, Arts & Sanctuary Worship. She has been on staff since fall 2012.
