A few years ago, I threw over one life for another. The former life was, in many ways, great--but I knew I was meant for something else. Nothing spectacular, necessarily (at least to anyone but me), but something different. So I moved to the gorgeous cultural hub of Stratford, Ontario, went into business for myself, and, along the way, married another egghead/artist (as my ancient Hibernian mother would say, "Why spoil two good couples?"). Having earned part of my living as an actor for a couple of decades, I also decided to devote more of my time to creative projects of various sorts.
I'm still in the process of figuring out exactly how all of this works, and that process has been one of the most enjoyable, and challenging, things upon which I've ever embarked. If I live to be any great age, I know I'll look back on this time with tremendous satisfaction.
So who cares about any of that except for me, right? What's in this for YOU, dear reader? Well, first off, if you're someone in a position similar to mine--a "creative" (as I gather we're called these days) who's going through a bit of a transformatory period, you may want to connect with me via Twitter. I think we can all use a little mutual encouragement.
And if you're looking for an editor, or someone to provide you with a little guidance in your writing (any sort of writing--creative, professional, however you think of it), you may also want to talk to me. The same goes if you are looking for an experienced writer and researcher to write up/help with a business report or strategic plan. I run KMP and Associates, and I seem to have a lot of happy clients.
