Ana Reyes

Hello there, my name is Ana. I recently earned my MBA, with concentrations in Finance and Management. I earned my bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. I am currently pursuing opportunities in Corporate Finance and Strategic Planning. I have accumulated diverse professional and personal experiences that made me developed a good combination of soft and hard skills.

Professionally:

Most recently, I was a Business Development MBA Intern at the LatAm regional office of Sandoz where I worked in the biggest regional in-licensing deal that will bring additional 100USDM in revenue in the coming 5 years. Before Sandoz, I participated in a Supply Chain MBA Internship at Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Americas, leading process improvement projects in the department. Prior to my MBA and my internships, I was a supply chain engineer at a local Miami firm that traded plastic resins with Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. During my job, I lead a successful SAP Business 1 implementation project. Before relocating to Miami, I was a Finance Specialist doing Project Evaluation at Metalsa, a company that manufactures steel components for the automotive industry. In that role, I did financial modeling of programs to ensure that the commercial division did proper pricing of the products, thus increasing profitably within the company.

Personally:

I am from Cordoba Veracruz, a small city in the south east of Mexico. I moved to Monterrey in Mexico to go to college and I stayed there for my first job experiences. When I was a student I had the opportunity to study abroad in Canada, Switzerland and Spain. In 2013 I moved to Miami pursuing job opportunities outside of my country and in 2015 I signed up for the full time MBA program in University of Miami. I am passionate about working with multicultural and diverse teams. I love to support causes that are related to Education. I like traveling, I am a foodie and I am a F1 racing fan.

Most important:

I have three specific qualities essential for me to share with you. First, I am highly analytical and I am passionate about effective decision-making and problem solving. Next, I am incredibly proactive and autodidact, and I love learning and taking on new challenges. Finally, I am passionate about people, I am a team player and I try my best to promote a work environment of collaboration.
