Oso

Oso is not the name of the latest update on your iPhone and it is not some weird acronym that I made up to memorize a chemical formula --it is the name of my dog. My brothers and I have this obnoxious love for our dog, so every little snort he makes has the ability to make us smile for hours. We recently decided to share our dog with the whole world to see… Through Instagram. The idea of taking high quality pictures and coming up with cute captions for each post excited me and provided me with another outlet to spend time with my brothers.

The instant I created the account, I was talking in first person as if I were my dog and I was outside with my brother and his camera taking pictures in an effort to create content that we could hopefully use for future posts. Only thirty minutes after creating Oso’s profile, I was lining up a multitude of pictures to post every day for the next week. My desire to plan way too far ahead and my tendency to get way too ahead of myself really shined through on the day of making @osotheyorkie on Instagram. But I love any sort of creative outlet, whether it be music, painting, or photography, so if an opportunity arises for me to explore a more creative side of myself, then I will. I don’t know if I should blame my love for dogs, my impulsiveness to create, or my need to plan and organize, either way, I now have a fully functioning Instagram for my dog.
