Yet all experience is an arch wherethro'
Gleams that untravell'd world whose margin fades
For ever and forever when I move.
-From Ulysses, by Alfred Lord Tennyson

These words are so inspiring to me that I have them tattooed on my upper arm.

I am a writer, photographer, and graphic designer...mostly in that order, especially now that I have embarked on an incredible journey as a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction student at the University of New Mexico. I have also been granted a teaching appointment and am teaching two sections of freshman core writing this fall. I have long wanted to immerse myself in my creative work AND teach college, so this feels like a dream.

Come true.

I grew up in Santa Fe and though I vowed I wouldn't stay, I did. I have four amazing kids who are growing up faster than I ever thought possible. Soren is 20 and left for his own college adventure in August. Mirabai is 18, and has been a college student since she was about 14 years old. Chiara is 14, and has a gift for working with animals. Graysen is 10, and has recently discovered a love for performance. I am honored to be their mother--they have taught me so much about how deeply and truly I can love. My husband, Chris, and I have been married for 11 years now, and look forward to many more.
