Ana Abad

I am 27 years old. I studied Translation and Interpretation in Madrid (English and German) and, after that, a Master´s degree in Audiovisual Translation.

I moved to Hamburg in 2007. At the beginning, I worked in a School of Languages where I spent my days preparing their website but since my dream was working as a translator, I looked for a new opportunity in the field. Firstly, I only found an internship in an Online Marketing company, but after three months, I found the job I wanted and I started to work at Bigpoint GmbH (videogames company) as a translator. I was promoted to Senior Translator and three years later, I started to work as a Localization Team Lead for the core languages (Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Turkish and Polish).

Right now, I am starting a new project as a freelance translator. My specialities are: Videogames Localization, Websites and software Localization, Literature Translation, General translation which includes Marketing, Press releases and general documents. I am a sworn translator for the following languages combination: English > Spanish > English.

This is my blog (Spanish):

I am working on my website (I will publish it as soon as possible).
