Ana Castillo-Nye

Student Affairs Professional and Volunteer Citizen Advocate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I believe in cultivating a student's personal and professional growth throughout their college experience. I facilitate leadership development that approaches problem solving in the systemic mindset, challenging others to learn how to move between “small lens” and “big lens” thinking. Within and outside of academia I am interested in issues regarding civic engagement and educational access, specifically related to immigration reform as well as educational and leadership opportunities for women globally.

Outside of work my interests include: Citizen advocacy with RESULTS, geocaching, cooking/baking, book hoarding, Star Trek, and FOOD!

After completing my B.A. with a concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Rutgers University (2011), I continued with graduate studies at the School of Education where I received my Ed.M in College Student Affairs/Higher Education Administration (2014). I am also a Master Advocacy Trainer and can help groups and individuals learn to speak and write powerfully to their local, state, and federal lawmakers!
