Jana Sibley Collin is an experimental writer rooted in a poetry as a primary medium. Sibley Collin embraces the concept of art with loose terms and grey boarders that often mix mediums as a matter of process, bleeding into concepts of sculpture and diorama to achieve final drafts of poetry. The bodies of work and process combine to reflect collectively an attempt to understand and explore the self in relation to contemporary culture, social norms, and increasingly matters of public mental health. Jana Sibley Collin received her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies at The University of California at Santa Cruz. Her idea of ongoing higher education is defined by active participation in literary and art communities through workshop, salon and conference attendance.
