Chef Anand Mittal

I am Postgraduate in Business Administration (HR) and a 3 years' diploma holder in hotel management since 1986. Was Chef in five star hotels of India and abroad for 12 years and a senior academician since last 23 years.

Son of late Sri V. K. Mittal & a resident of Dehradun, I completed Diploma in Hotel Management (1986) and graduation in commerce from Osmania University, Hyderabad (1985), postgraduated (MBA- HRM) from Vinayaka Missions University, Tamil Nadu (2011).

Have a vast experience of cooking in five start hotels in India and abroad. From 1994 - 1998 worked with: Hotel Gulf Sheraton, Doha; Bahrain Phoenicia Hotel, Bahrain and Falaj Daris Hotel, Oman as Executive Chef. In India I gained experience from Hotel Holiday Inn, Mumbai; Sinafco Offshore Catering Services, Mumbai; Ambassador's Sky Chef, Mumbai,Hotel Leela Kempinski, Mumbai; Hotel Ambassador, Mumbai and Hotel Great Value, Dehradun.

1998 was marked as a turning point in my career as I started doing consultancy for different institutions. I simultaneously entered the teaching trade with Institute of Hotel Management, Meerut Cant as Professor and HOD Production; Ram IHM & CT, Dehra Dun as HOD; Ganapati Institute of Hotel Managment, Haryana as Director, FCIIM, Dehra Dun, UEI Global (P) Ltd., as HOD and Director, Institute of Hotel Management, IET Bhaddal as Director. Since 2017, I am Director Academics / Principal at IHM Meerut.

Passion: Walking. Am UK state champion in powerwalking (55-60 years masters' age group)
