Anastasia Varankina

Greetings, I’m Anastasia. I’m a teacher living in Barrie, ON, Canada. I am a fan of travel, fitness, and hiking. I’m also interested in music and education.

I graduated from Seneca College in 2005 with an Early Childhood Education Diploma. Furthermore, I graduated from York University in 2009 with Bachelors in Psychology and Education. Since my graduation I have taught in private and public schools in London, UK and GTA, Ontario. The last two summers I had an amazing experience teaching ESL in Taiwan. I finally got a contract position with YRDSB in the fall of 2019. I have previously taken a variety of AQ courses such as Special Education, ELL Part 1, and I completed my ABQ in Family Studies and Social Sciences. I really enjoy my profession and constantly find ways to enhance my teaching strategies. I look forward to completing this course and gaining new knowledge and skills when teaching English language learners.
