After receiving a rigorous basis in the fundamentals of music through specialized education, pianist Anca Săftulescu graduated National University of Music Bucharest – Instrumental Performance - Piano (DMA-2017, MA-2011, BA-2008). In 2006 she won a scholarship at "Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Dance de Paris". Pianist’s continuous concern to improve her piano performing art determined her presence in numerous masterclasses held by internationally renowned pianists such as Gabriel Amiraș, André De Groote, Einar Steen-Nøkleberg, Kevin Kenner, Malcolm Bilson, Alexei Lubimov, Ian Hobson, Gregorz Kurzynski etc. Pianist Anca Săftulescu was awarded over 25 prizes at national and international competitions. Since 2011, in addition to her soloist career she has been invited to teach in university programs (BA, MA) at UNMB and UGAL developing consistent managing skills acquired both as a pianist and teacher, in charge of the coordination and promotion of several events with international exposure.
Pianist Anca Săftulescu has been acclaimed on several major scenes through numerous solo and chamber music recitals and orchestral performances in the United States of America, France, Belgium, Italy, Romania, her repertoire covering a great assembly of styles and genre. She was invited to participate in many national and international music festivals as well as in cultural TV and Radio shows broadcasted live. Anca Săftulescu made several studio recordings with the Romanian National Radio, selected for CARDEX. In 2011 she was invited to participate within the European recording project "Tasti neri, tasti bianchi" held by Conservatorio "Guido Cantelli" di Novara, Italy (the release of the double CD held in Rome and New York, 2012). As a pianist and music director, within the Musical Theater Master Program held by UGAL under the auspices of the UNESCO Foundation for Youth, The Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, Guildford School of Acting UK, U.S. Embassy in Romania, The Norwegian College of Musical Theater in Oslo, she performed in multiple tours in major Theaters across the country. Anca Săftulescu attested excellent communication and interactive skills with different age categories acquired during a prominent artistic and teaching experience.
