My name is Mike Anderson. In 2009, I learned the importance of finding adventure in everyday tasks. That year, I set out to accomplish something that many people dream of, but never find time to accomplish; hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. I'd never been backpacking for longer than two nights before that trip, but I didn't let that stop me. I learned as I went, and by the time I was on top Mt. Katahdin, I found that I had learned more than just how to backpack; I learned about ambition, commitment, community, conservation, and diversity. Most importantly, I learned about myself. These are the things that I now carry into my professional life.
