San Francisco, CA
Born from the seed of Kurt Cobain, Michael Andrade is a devoted lover of punk rock, straight edge, Spanish gibberish, badonkadonks and burgers.
Although Photography was always a part of his daily life, it didn’t become a reality until his painfully beautiful girlfriend bought him an iPhone in 2010. With it he was able to explore various styles of street, candid, concert and portrait photography all though a mobile lens. From mobile to DSLR and now to film, Michael has made his way through photography completely backwards.
Whether it’s in the streets of Washington, D.C. where he works for the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, or the motherland of Bolivia or in a local mosh pit: Michael never stops shooting.
