I am a documentary FILMMAKER, AUTHOR, EDITOR, SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, and TRANSLATOR from Kiel, Germany. For more information about my film work, please visit my AJ-IMAGES film team's website.

I studied German literature and media studies, philosophy, and art history (M.A.) in Kiel, Hamburg, Berlin, and Potsdam, and completed courses at HARVARD UNIVERSITY EXT. SCHOOL. I received training in FILM DIRECTION at Movie College Munich and worked as an ASSISTANT STAGE DIRECTOR at Kiel Theater. I attended numerous theater and film workshops (and one acting workshop) over the years and briefly worked as an extra in international film and television productions. In 2016, I completed a filmmaking course taught by the amazing director WERNER HERZOG at MASTER CLASS. Besides my personal EDITING EXPERIENCE as a documentary filmmaker and subtitle editor for commercial films, I recently decided to receive additional training from the quite exceptional editing courses at INSIDE THE EDIT. Besides a good sense for timing, I have a very good "eye" and a very good "ear" and I can picture myself working in the CASTING industry in the future.

During my work as a filmmaker, I became the person responsible for our AJ-IMAGES film team's website(s) and social media pages. I completed a professional training and have worked as a CERTIFIED SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER since 2015. I recently enrolled in a bachelor-level DIGITAL MEDIA course offering training in COMPUTER SCIENCE, MEDIA ECONOMICS, MEDIA MANAGEMENT, and MEDIA DESIGN.

I am one of the 4 co-hosts of the English speaking PODCAST WILD ABOUT JOLSON and function as the podcast's social media administrator. I founded and co-host the bilingual (English and German) film, literature, and art podcast FLAp. I am also the CONTENT PRODUCER for our film team's website www.aj-images.com.

I published a book on the concept of "the home" and "the foreign" in fictional films of Nazi Germany and several articles in art catalogues and other academic publications.

I have created all kinds of promotional items (from DVD covers, flyers, posters, and logos) for our film team and got more and more professionally interested in GRAPHIC DESIGN. I recently enrolled at OfG, a German school for design to receive professional training. I love to expand my knowledge and gain new skills in this wide field of creativity.
