Artist and Teacher in Mexico City, Mexico
My work is a constant attempt to represent laws of life, such as polarity in nature. Though thick brush strokes of bright colors. I use my dreams and pictures that I take from my phone or camera, to make my own scenarios, including fertile details that seems to tell a story, sometimes, with little fragments that place the painting nowadays.
My process responds to the need of making a moment remain, facing massive media which uses images as an ephimeral resource of the daily life. My principal inspiration is the experience of the very present, questioning quotidian life and status quo facing death.
A constant element in my pieces is the blue color, which acts in the composition as a trigger of space and time.
I'm Andrea Juárez, I was born in Oaxaca and I’m based in Mexico City. I have a degree in marketing and advertising from the University Centro de Diseño, Cine y Tv, in Mexico City (2015).
