Andrea Cammarata
Software Engineer and Public Speaker in Italy
Passionate about technology since childhood, I've started developing my first open source software at age of 15 using Visual Basic 6 and DirectX 8, just one year after receiving my first Personal Computer as a present from my parents.
The project received an award for the best graduation project developed by a single student at my High School three years later and thanks to it, I've earned a scholarship at the engineering university "Politecnico di Torino" located in Turin, Italy.
The source code of the project is available on GitHub:

Since then, I've never stop working on some personal side projects, forcing myself to be up to date with latest programming languages, frameworks and softwares.
In my professional career, I've been focused on mastering web technologies such as JS, HTML5, CSS3, Ext JS, Sencha Touch and others server side programming languages such as ASP.NET, PHP and Node.js, always keeping alive my big passion for 3d modelling and game design learning triple A softwares like Autodesk Maya, ZBrush and Unity 3d.
Lastly, my passion leaded me to explore new technologies such as the Oculus Rift VR headset, Arduino and Leap Motion controller.
