In 2015 Dayton Board of Education member Dr. Adil Baguirov championed and led the establishment of the office of independent Internal Auditor at DPS to identify and prevent waste, fraud and abuse.The audit identified some $1.3 million in savings, which were overnight put into effect in April 2016.
