Andrea Halverson is an educational leader who has worked in a variety of settings over the past 15 years. Most recently, she served as the principal of Achieve Language Academy, a PreK-8th grade charter school on the east side of St. Paul.
Before stepping into the principalship, Andrea spent 3 years working at Kaleidoscope Charter School in Otsego, MN. In this position, she provided professional development and training for teachers, supported teachers in curriculum development and technology integration, and oversaw federal programming, state reporting, and assessment.
Prior to her work at KCS, she spent time as a technology integration specialist and taught elementary and middle school music for nearly 10 years. She sat on both state and regional boards for music education groups and was a frequent presenter and local, state and regional music education conferences.
She holds a BA and MA from the University of St. Thomas in vocal music education and Kodaly Music Education. She also holds an Ed.S from Concordia University - St. Paul. She holds Minnesota licensure in K-12 music education, technology/computer apps/keyboarding, and administration/principal.
Andrea was born and raised in a small town in southern Minnesota. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, music, and going on adventures with her son, Henry.
