Andreas Freund is a Freelance Journalist, based in Vienna. He currently works on schwarzweissgrau.eu, a news website aiming to provide more context for complex and on-going news stories, like the Greek government-debt crisis or the European migrant crisis, which will launch in 2016.
His articles were published in "Unique", "Progress" and PokerMagazin. In 2013 he won the "Reporter 14" competition with his proposal on "Gambling in Japan". The resulting feature story got published in the Austrian daily "die Presse", along with an accompanying travel blog on diepresse.com.
He speaks German, English, Spanish and Portuguese and has a bachelor´s degree in Journalism and Spanish Philology, both from the University of Vienna.
