I'm Andreas, a Melbourne-based food blogger, author in RecipeYZ, and instructor specializing in Greek and Cretan cuisine. Born in the olive groves of Chania, Crete, I was raised by my grandfather who taught me the timeless rhythms of traditional Cretan cooking. After moving to Australia at 18 and working a decade in business consulting, I returned to my culinary roots—turning a passion into a career.

Today, I run a popular food blog visited by over 100K readers monthly, host cooking workshops, and consult for restaurants looking to embrace authentic Greek flavors. I’ve authored two cookbooks—The Cretan Kitchen and Modern Greek Home Cooking—and am currently working on a third dedicated to the specialties of the Greek islands.

My work bridges the ancient and the modern: traditional family recipes adapted for today’s kitchens, infused with nutritional insight and sustainability. Whether teaching online, leading supper clubs, or foraging in the hills of Naxos, I strive to share the healthful richness of the Mediterranean diet.
