Andrea Towers is a freelance writer specializing in entertainment journalism. She is a graduate of The George Washington University, holding a bachelor's degree in English and Communications and hails originally from the greater Boston area. She is currently studying towards her MSJ at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Since 2010, Andrea has been writing regularly for various entertainment websites. She is a former contributor to TVEquals, FilmEquals, The Voice Of TV and TVOvermind. Currently, she owns and maintains her own website Confessions Of A TV Geek, while continuing to offer her voice to various outlets around the web.

In addition being featured in guest articles and podcasts, she has conducted interviews with top talent, writers and directors, reported from set visits and red carpets and provided coverage at major entertainment events such as Comic Con and Upfronts.

A self-proclaimed "encyclopedia of entertainment knowledge," Andrea has been a passionate fan of media and the arts for as long as she can remember. It is this love, combined with her love of writing, that translated into her decision to pursue a career in entertainment journalism. Her dedication to the field extends beyond the day-to-day work of reviewing or interviewing, as she enjoys any opportunity where she has the chance to speak candidly with creatives who have inspired her to pursue her own goals of working in the industry.

Andrea's other interests include photography, travel, musical theater and figure skating. Her television shows of choice remain mostly serial dramas and smart comedies. She currently resides in Chicago.
