Andrea Zarczynski

As a student, freelance writer and editor Andrea Zarczynski attended Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, concentrating her studies on journalism, French, and English. Zarczynski received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2004. During her college years, she received several scholarships, including The Michigan Press Association (MPA) 2003 and 2004 Scholarship and the Oakland University’s Commuter Involvement Scholarship. Zarczynski was also named an Outstanding Student in Journalism. In addition, she founded and served as President of The Association of Polish Students and participated in French Club. Presently, as Contributing Editor for C-Suite Quarterly (CSQ), a lifestyle and business magazine for executives, Andrea Zarczynski holds responsibility for developing new story ideas. In addition, she continues to build a network with community and business professionals on behalf of the publication. During her time at CSQ, Zarczynski has earned recognition by the CEO of the company for her efforts and contributed to the expansion of the magazine. From 2009 to 2010, while still working at CSQ, Andrea Zarczynski also worked as an Assistant Teacher at Conejo Valley Unified School District in Thousand Oaks, California, where she provided instructional support for special education teachers and their students. Additionally, she oversaw the collection of information regarding student conduct. As Assistant Teacher, Zarczynski took charge of averting behavioral encounters, resolving conflict in the classroom, and creating new strategies to promote student learning. Zarczynski was honored by the Director of the Special Education Department for attaining remarkable results in helping students reach skill-level objectives, even though she had no previous experience. Before joining CSQ, Andrea Zarczynski worked for several other California-based publications, including as Managing Editor for Your Health Connection magazine in Westlake Village, and as a Features Editor for Inside Weddings magazine in Los Angeles. Additionally, she worked for two publishing companies in Michigan as a Staff Writer, including C&G; Newspapers in Warren and Metro Parent magazine in Ferndale. At C&G; Newspapers, Zarczynski authored weekly articles and many community and government feature stories. During this time, she also led numerous live interviews on local cable television shows.
