Andres Omar Sotillo
Throughout his career, Andres Omar Sotillo has demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of international banking. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Universidad Jose Maria Vargas in Venezuela, then entered the financial services industry with an internship at Mavesa, SA. There, Andres Omar Sotillo built key experience in evaluating cross-currency payments as well as in developing alternative investment and banking strategies.
Mr. Sotillo later became a management trainee with Banco Latino International in Miami, Florida, where he gained familiarity with US Treasury bonds and notes, as well as regulations established by the United States federal government. Also responsible for daily banking activities and reports, he proved adept at maintaining a smoothly operating institution. In 1996, he channeled this expertise into his first executive position as director and partner of the Davos Financial Group, also based in Miami. Developing strong working relationships with several international banks, he then founded and became CEO of Davos International Bank in the West Indies. He has since remained in the Caribbean region and now serves as director of Barnett Capital Bank in Dominica.
