Andres Otaño served as an Officer in the United States Navy before embarking on a prosperous professional career in the pharmaceuticals industry. Fluent in English and Spanish, Andres Otaño strives to utilize his extensive language skills and professional abilities in every endeavor. Andres Otaño completed his training at the National Defense Intelligence College and studied engineering and international security at the United States Naval Academy. Beginning his tenure in the Navy as a Surface Warfare and Intelligence Officer, Andres Otaño was later promoted to leadership positions in the US Naval Forces Southern Command, where he acted in support of the Navy’s operations in Honduras, El Salvador, and greater Latin America. Andres Otaño proceeded to serve as an admiral’s aide, working to ensure the admiral’s safety during travel in Latin America; following this, he became a Naval Attaché, excelling in the many complexities of diplomacy. As a representative of the President and State Department, Andres Otaño was the youngest attaché selected since World War II. Andres Otaño next worked to direct other intelligence officers in missions in the Middle East and the Atlantic Ocean, specializing in human intelligence and the Soviet Union’s naval capabilities. After leaving the Navy, Andres Otaño pursued a 16-year career with Pfizer Inc., where he oversaw the marketing and sales for psychiatric, neurological, and pediatric products and medications. Currently, Andres Otaño acts as a Sales Director at Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc., overseeing the work of more than 100 employees and the company’s sales operations in 6 states. Andres Otaño spends his free time playing golf, following his favorite NASCAR drivers and rugby teams, and participating in triathlons.
