Andre T. Johnson is an award-winning reporter and the owner of MemphiSport, a publication dedicated to covering sports teams. His reporting covers the NBA Southwest Division and has given him the opportunity to interview numerous players and sports personalities. In addition to his work as a sports journalist, Andre T. Johnson engages in community journalism, covering business and community leaders, artists, and musicians across the United States.
Andre T. Johnson, an alumnus of the University of Memphis, holds a BA in journalism. He graduated in 2000 and began his career at The Commercial Appeal, where he covered the Memphis Houn’dawgs and the arenafootball2 team, the Memphis Xplorers. He went on to found MemphiSport in 2006 and has since dedicated his time to overseeing operations for the online magazine.
Since 1996, Johnson has been a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. In addition, he enjoys watching the San Francisco 49ers play. He has been a fan of the football team since 1985.
