Andrew is a communications professional with over 28 years of experience in media, government and the non-profit sector. Andrew excels in building relationships with assignment editors, news directors and broadcast producers who help share stories that connect with people and communities.
Andrew has been with the Nature Conservancy of Canada since 2011 and serves as the National Media Relations Director and also Government Relations Director for the Atlantic Provinces.
Previously, Andrew did communications in the New Brunswick Government. He worked in various departments: (Transportation, Natural Resources, Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour and the NB Emergency Measures Organization)
Prior to that, Mr. Holland spent four years (2003-2007) as constituency Executive Assistant & Communications Director with the late Andy Scott (Federal Minister and MP from 1993-2008).
A broadcast journalist by profession, Andrew is best known locally as a former radio news and sports reporter and broadcaster from 1989-2003. He hosted and produced a weekly TV political talk show in New Brunswick from 1992 to 2003.
He also did color commentary and hosting of Fredericton Canadiens American Hockey League games and other sporting events. He was the AHL team’s final public address announcer.
Andrew also spent many years announcing NB Senior Baseball League games for the Fredericton Royals.
An avid sports fan, baseball and hockey pool enthusiast, Andrew’s other hobbies include running and volunteering.
Married (Helene) with a 17-year old son Alexandre and Gus, their second golden retriever.
