Seattle, Washington, United States
Greetings, and welcome to my "About Me" page! Whether you landed here by Googling my name or just by happenstance, thank you for dropping in!
I originally hail from a small, but relatively well-known town called Pigeon Forge, TN. A family-oriented tourist locale, Pigeon Forge is perhaps most recognized for being the birth place of Dolly Parton and the home of her namesake theme park, Dollywood.
Only three generations from being "true Appalachian mountain folk," I proudly claim my heritage as a Southerner -- though I have long since lost most hints of any accent. This heritage has privileged me with a strong sense of self-sufficiency and dogged-determination when it comes to most things. I learned many Appalachian crafts (basket making, weaving, ceramics), and experienced many of the beautiful trails spread throughout the Great Smoky Mountains.
After finishing school in the nearby Johnson City, TN, I set off on an adventure to the West Coast in order to grow my horizons both professionally and personally. In May of 2014, I moved to Seattle, WA, and now it is hard to imagine living anywhere else.
