Raised in a town outside of Liverpool, I studied at Deyes High School in Maghull, Merseyside, before moving to Carlisle to study towards a Bachelors degree in Film and TV Production. Whilst there, I worked at Carlisle United Football Club as a Steward, before starting work at The Border Rambler until the end of my university course.

During my studies, I became a member of a local Scout group in Carlisle, having joined the movement when I was six. I temporarily gave this up to allow more time for completing my degree. I was also a presenter for the online radio station, Dynamic Radio.

I am a skilled editor, with the short film "Teddys's Big Holiday" featuring at the 2013 Kidz Filmz Festival in Manasquan, New Jersey, and winning their "Best International College Short" award. I am experienced with making short films, documentaries, promotional videos and music videos in a variety of styles. I also have experience in a number of filmmaking roles, both behind and in front of the camera.

I moved to Scunthorpe and became involved in the local theatre groups, playing a range of roles from the quirky and loveable 'Charley' in a 2013 production of Darling Buds of May, to the sleazy Mr Lucas in The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole. Whilst living near Scunthorpe, I worked at BetFred until being offered temporary employment at Bulten Ltd, a multi-national company that supplies fasteners to the automotive industry.
