Andrew Dreves is an artist, designer + writer who practices widely across diverse creative disciplinary boundaries in the fields of art, marketing + branding, product design and the many creative territories in between. Andrew’s mixed media works utilize inventive materials and processes focusing mainly on subjects with historical and social narratives,landscape/environmental themes and architectural space. Andrew studied printmaking with internationally known printmaker Margaret Kennard Johnson, (a student of Josef Albers at Black Mountain College) and also studied at the Rutgers Center for Innovative Print & Paper (RCIPP) in New Brunswick (NJ). His award-winning mixed media works have been selected for exhibition in both galleries and museums by internationally acclaimed artists and critics such as Janet Fish, Jacob Landau and Donald Kuspit.
As the Director of Marketing + Product Development for ASST, Andrew is responsible for the strategic marketing and branding initiatives for the company including the proprietary solid surface textured wall panel product SCULPTCOR® created for the architecture and design community. ASST is an industry leader specializing in complex surface fabrications utilizing solid surface and translucent resin plastics. ASST's work spans the markets of health care, education, retail and corporate/public space. The company works nationally and internationally and has developed an impressive portfolio of successfully completed projects with high profile architectural firms, general contractors, millworkers and end users. Dreves earned a BFA in interior design from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and practiced interior architecture in Princeton (NJ) with noted architect Michael Landau, FAIA and the internationally known architectural firm, CUH2A.(now HDR), Mancini Duffy (Parsippany NJ) and Noelker and Hull Associates (Chambersburg, PA) Notable award winning projects with these firms include work with Merrill Lynch & Co.(locations nationwide), Marcel Breuer Members Housing at The Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, AT&T, Pfizer, Schering Plough, Roche, Busch Entertainment, Marriott Corporation, Congregation Micah, Nashville, TN, The Culinary Institute of America and the Spa at Nova Medical among others.
