Andrew Chee is a designer and researcher working across architecture, media infrastructures, and curatorial systems. He holds an M.Arch from Columbia University, where he received the Charles McKim Prize, and a B.Sc in Computer Science. He has held research appointments at the Buell Center and the GSAPP Natural Materials Lab, and previously worked at OMA New York, Junya Ishigami + Associates, the Whitney Museum, and Google.

He is co-editor and designer of a quarterly print magazine INDEX, publisher at Rote Press, an artist-run independent imprint for open-source print and other media, and leads Related Works, a design practice focused on participatory systems, counter-archives, and material reuse. He is a member and Hybrid Practice alum of NEW INC, and a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.

Formerly at Google, he worked as a visual design lead for new device interfaces, and as a designer for exhibitions, print, and digital media at the Whitney Museum, has been a creative director for an augmented reality Olympic pavilion, and a software engineer for NASA. He has designed interfaces for drones, cars, to TVs, featured by Metropolis Magazine and Apple, awarded by the Society for Experiential Graphic Design, and iF Design.

His work has been shown internationally, including at the Guggenheim Museum, Type Directors Club and La MaMa Experimental Theater Club in New York City, CultureHub in Los Angeles, Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, and the Istanbul Contemporary Art Museum.
