Born on December 20, 1986, in Galesburg, Illinois, AJ Eeten demonstrated academic excellence from a young age at Eureka Schools. His hard work earned him membership in the National Honor Society, and he actively participated in sports, particularly basketball and track. His athletic prowess contributed to his high school's success, clinching a state championship in track and field.

After high school, he pursued further education at Illinois Central College (ICC), where he continued to excel in basketball, supported by a scholarship. He later transferred to Northern Illinois University to further his studies, earning a degree in Physical Education with a minor in Spanish. Post-college, he ventured into public education, where he dedicated himself to teaching and coaching, significantly impacting his students.

Craving a new challenge, he transitioned from education to retail sales in March 2017. He began managing a T-Mobile store in Washington, Illinois, where he was responsible for daily operations and ensuring excellent customer service. His journey in retail took a significant turn in 2019 when he became a manager at Stanton Optical in Peoria. Here, he expanded his expertise to eye care, overseeing customer service, managing inventory, and educating customers on eyewear.

In December 2023, AJ Eeten took a new role as an optician at the Vision Care Center in Peoria. In this capacity, he assists customers with eyewear needs, ensuring they receive personalized service and education on maintaining their glasses and contacts.
