At Northern Illinois, he pursued a degree in Physical Education with a minor in Spanish. This period strengthened his discipline and teamwork in both the classroom and the court. His focus on education laid the groundwork for his early career in teaching and coaching, where he worked with students to support their academic and athletic growth.
Andrew Eeten, also known as AJ, began his professional journey in public education, teaching and coaching in several schools. He valued the opportunity to guide students and contribute to their development. After a few years, he sought a new challenge and transitioned to the retail sector in 2017, starting at T-Mobile. As a store manager, he was responsible for daily operations, customer assistance, and implementing store projects. This move marked a successful shift into a fast-paced, customer-focused industry.
Andrew expanded his career in 2019 by joining Stanton Optical as a store manager. In this role, he helped customers choose suitable eyewear, managed inventory, and ensured product quality. His responsibilities included reviewing prescriptions, measuring for glasses, and educating customers about proper eyewear care.
