Andrew Goodwin
San Luis Obispo, California
Architect, writer, dreamer. A serial entrepreneur with a foundation always rooted in sustainability and philanthropy.
I have been fortunate enough to have experienced a variety of professions in my years, but I always come back to design. I am a licensed architect and have worked on projects across the states and internationally. My passion for public interest design led me to create a non-profit focused design studio, which I then brought into the 501c3 design organization Journeyman International. Through my work as the architectural lead for Journeyman International I have overseen the design of countless community enriching projects in countries like Rwanda and South Africa to Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
I have also had the privilege to operate and maintain my own design-build firm, and now my own design consultancy. Through this work I have seen many aspects of the design and construction profession, and have been able to parley those experiences back into my public interest design work.
I remain hopeful of the future of design, and continue to write on projects, people, and ideas that excite and encourage me that the late nights are not futile. Communicating this to the rest of the world will remain my life's mission.
