ANDREW HIGGINBOTHAM

I'm Andrew Higginbotham and I've been a Graphic Designer for the past 22 years. I love quality. I love craft. I love good design. I love longevity. I ran a Design Agency for 20 years, but in late 2010 decided I needed to step away and do things differently; I didn't want to run around the same track twice.

I've been fortunate enough to work with some household names such as Stella Artois, Virgin Records, Warner Music and Lacoste, as well as some smaller niche clients with interesting businesses. My portfolio is as diverse as the clients I work with as I happily switch between design for fashion, the music industry, leisure, sports, culture and manufacturing.

I'm interested in creating beautiful, ideas driven design whether in print or digital for likeminded organisations who appreciate that good design is good for business.

I get a great deal of satisfaction from doing something well, of such superior quality that you know it's going to stand the test of time. It makes the hard work and the obsessing over each and every detail, the typography, composition, the paper and materials worth all the effort. That's my reward.

I'm fortunate to live in the countryside and work from home. My company is called Six Ashes Studio, named after the small rural area where I live. When required, I collaborate with other specialists; we don't have to be in the same office to deliver what can be measured against a traditional Agency structure, in terms of quality, value and service.
