Andrew Hj Oh

Andrew Oh is a Master Taekwondo Instructor for the Champions Taekwondo Studio. In addition to providing private Taekwondo lessons, Andrew Oh also trains students in conditioning and weight lifting, cardio Taekwondo, and weight loss. Taekwondo is a popular Korean martial art and an Olympic sport. Andrew Oh is a certified Kukkiwon black belt who has achieved the rank of fifth dan. The Kukkiwon, in Seoul, South Korea, is the International Headquarters for dan and poom certification in Taekwondo. Andrew Oh is a representative on the Athlete Advisory Council for the New York State Tae Kwon Do Association. Andrew Oh has competed in over 50 state, national, and international Taekwondo competitions over the last decade, winning 23 gold medals. In 2010, Andrew Oh qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Taekwondo (bantam and featherweight) for the 2012 Olympics. He also won a gold medal at the 2010 Taekwondo U.S. Senior Nationals (Bantam) and placed first in the U-24 Taekwondo National Team Trials (bantam). Andrew Oh has also won other noteworthy victories including a silver medal in the 2004 Goodwill Games, and a series of New York and New Jersey State Championships. Andrew Oh graduated from Queens College where he majored in nutrition and exercise sciences. When he is not training, Andrew Oh enjoys fishing, movies, listening to rap, Christian, and R&B; music. His favorite movie is Fighter in the Wind, and his favorite athlete is Moon Dae Sung. Andrew Oh is a Bible study instructor for the Youth Group at the Hyo Shin Bible Presbyterian Church of New York.
