Student athlete Andrew Horun competes on the wrestling team at Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Accomplished academically, he ranks 30th in a class of 440 students and received induction to National Honor Society in the 2015-2016 school year. Outside of the classroom, Andrew Horun remains in top form for wrestling by training with Craig Merrick at MADE Strength & Conditioning. He attends MADE for one-and-a-half to two-hour workout sessions three days a week during the school year and four days a week throughout the summer.

Within the local community, Andrew Horun belongs to Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, where he acts as an altar server. He has also participated in a church organized fundraiser to benefit the Phillipsburg Ole Town Festival. Through Catholic fraternal organization the Knights of Columbus, he has solicited donations to support the Arc of Warren County, a nonprofit organization that provides services across the county for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

In his free time, Andrew Horun enjoys listening to diverse genres of music, ranging from country to hair metal, and considers Rascal Flatts his favorite band. He recently began studying guitar and has learned how to play the theme from James Bond and Dust On the Bottle by David Lee Murphy. He also appreciates theater and has visited New York City with his family to see several plays and musicals, including The Lion King.
