Andrew Housser is an entrepreneur and financial services industry expert. In 2002, Andrew co-founded Freedom Financial Network (Freedom). He has led the company as its co-CEO from its time as a Silicon Valley start-up in a spare bedroom with two founders, to its position today as a leader in the consumer finance industry with an annual revenue over $500 million and nearly 2,000 employees.
Freedom and its subsidiaries, Freedom Debt Relief, FreedomPlus, ConsolidationPlus, Freedom Financial Asset Management, and Bills.com, is a recognized leader in the consumer finance industry that has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Hot 100 Companies list, along with multiple showings on the Inc. 500 list.
Andrew is a past recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Northern California. The Silicon Valley Business Journal named Andrew and his co-founder, Brad Stroh, to the Silicon Valley 40 under 40 list. Most important to Andrew is that Freedom has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in both the San Francisco Area and the Phoenix Area multiple times. In 2016, Freedom Financial Network earned the number one spot for the Best Places to Work in the Phoenix area.
Andrew started his career working in investment banking for Salomon Smith Barney in New York City, then moved on to do private equity investing with Littlejohn & Company in Greenwich, CT. He received his MBA from Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and received a BA summa cum laude from Dartmouth College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Andrew lives in Northern California where, outside of work, he spends his time with his wife and three young children.
Andrew sits on the board of directors of the American Fair Credit Council (AFCC), where he has played an instrumental role in promoting strict but fair regulation and legislation for the debt relief industry.
