San Diego

Born and raised in San Diego, Andrew earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from San Diego State University in 2008 and a Master’s Degree in American Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2011. His research while in graduate school focused on critical and literary theory, popular culture, Hip-Hop poetics, and graphic novels.

Tired of life within the ivory towers of academia, Andrew started his professional career as a market research manager in charge of the San Diego market for a market research and a data collection firm. Wanting to utilize his background in market research and his passion for a well-crafted sentence, Andrew began working as a copywriter in 2013.

When Andrew isn’t writing, he spends considerable time hunting for vintage R. Crumb illustrated vinyl record covers and refining his skills as a home chef. Inspired partly by the prose of Marcel Proust and the distinctive visual and narrative style of Wes Anderson, Andrew brings a unique voice and attention to detail to all his work.
