Andrew Mastrandonas

Co-founder, World Makers, Inc., 2011 – present

Andrew brings his managerial and business development experience to World
Makers, Inc., a social enterprise specializing in the sale of high quality and
predominantly all-natural products via its e-commerce website Revenues derived from website purchases are shared
with charitable organizations that are sponsored by world makers; altruistic
individuals who make a measurable difference in their communities.

Previous Career

Andrew co-founded CR Communities, a residential development company that
specializes in sustainable, ocean-view home sites. He focused on marketing,
management, and strategic issues. He has written a number of articles for various publications including the Tico Times, Mountain Howler, Independent Traveler, In the Know Traveler, Escape Artist/Offshore Real Estate Magazine, Suddenly Senior, and others. Prior to moving to Costa Rica in 2005, Andrew had a long career as a corporate executive, international management/environmental consultant, and NGO/coalition leader.

US Airways Group, Inc., 1998 - 2004

Andrew was most recently a senior executive with US Airways, the fifth largest
scheduled airline in the U.S. with over $11 billion in annual revenue. Recruited
from management consulting, he joined the company to build and manage its
overall Internet presence including online marketing and sales, travel agency
sales, strategic planning, systems analysis, and distribution.

Management and environmental consulting, 1987 - 1998

Previously, Andrew was an international management and environmental
consultant for three top consulting firms in their fields. At the beginning of his
career, he served as a consultant at Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, Inc., later joining the Environmental Policy Center of Law Companies Group, Inc., and Jellinek, Schwartz & Connolly, Inc.

Andrew has written articles, policy briefs and research reports and has
been a speaker at numerous events. He graduated as an Honors Scholar from the University of Connecticut in 1987, with a B.A. in Economics. He also received a certificate in European Economics from Tilburg University in the
