Andy Whitwood

I combine a solid foundation in traditional graphics and a keen typographic eye with the digital knowledge and technical expertise gained from almost 20 years in the design industry.

After successfully combining on and offline work, ten years ago I made the switch to concentrate purely on digital media and currently remain at the forefront of digital technology actively pursuing new media with a passion and providing both creative and technical direction to clients wishing to further their on-line presence particularly in the field of mobile design and marketing.

Graduating from the University of Plymouth in 1994, I gained initial experience working for London-based PR agency Paragon Communications on a client portfolio including the likes of AT&T, Bass, Mobil and Vauxhall. At almost the very beginning of the Internet, I also produced Teddy Sheringham's Euro '96 blog.

Since then I have worked in-house as visual merchandising design at House of Fraser head office and a number of agencies in London, the Home Counties and Lancashire before ending up as Head of Digital at brand consultancy Studio North in Manchester.

In June 2010 I set up my own agency, Mobiomic Limited specialising in creative, effective design, consultancy and marketing solutions for the mobile platform, from site design and optimisation to smartphone application development. Whether you already have an existing website and online strategy or if you are even taking your first steps online, we can advise and realise the best route for you.
