Andy Winthrop Medical Clinic

My name is Dr. Andy John Winthrop MD, FACS, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon from Winthrop Massachusetts. My life’s work is defined by the belief that surgery is not merely a medical necessity,it is a restorative art. As the founder and owner of the Andy Winthrop Medical Clinic in Winthrop, Massachusetts, I have dedicated my career to a dual mission: providing elite-level surgical excellence at home and extending transformative care to those in need across the globe.

Foundations of Excellence

My journey began at the Stanford School of Medicine, followed by a rigorous residency at Stanford Medical Center. It was there that I specialized in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, developing the meticulous technical standards that I bring to every patient today. As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), I operate at the intersection of rigorous clinical science and aesthetic harmony.

A Clinic Built on Integrated Care

The Andy Winthrop Medical Clinic was established to be a center of healing that transcends traditional boundaries. While my primary focus remains Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, our facility is a comprehensive medical hub offering:

Cosmetic Surgery: Refining confidence through natural, balanced results.

Orthopedic Surgery: Restoring mobility and structural integrity.

General Surgery: Delivering essential medical interventions with a specialist’s precision.

Surgery as Philanthropy

Beyond the walls of my private practice, I serve as the Chief Surgeon for my foundation. This nonprofit philanthropic organization is the heartbeat of my professional purpose. We are committed to bringing high quality reconstructive surgery to victims of natural disasters, conflict and offer plastic and reconstructive surgery to children.

I believe that children do not choose the conditions of their birth, yet millions suffer from preventable injuries and untreated conditions. To me, plastic and reconstructive surgery carries a unique responsibility: to heal is to do more than save a life today; it is to safeguard a patient’s tomorrow by restoring their dignity and self-esteem.

Our Shared Mission

At the Andy Winthrop Medical Clinic, every procedure whether a complex reconstruction or a refined aesthetic enhancement is guided by empathy. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is about ensuring that no one feels invisible in their suffering. It means listening, respecting diverse culture, and delivering care that honors the humanity of every individual and restoring the patient dignity.

Whether I am in my clinic in Massachusetts or on a surgical mission abroad, my goal remains the same: to provide a "functional masterpiece" that allows every patient to live their life to its absolute fullest.
