Meyrin, Switzerland

I'm a particle physicist working mainly on the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in Geneva, although I'm employed and spend more of my time in Edinburgh, Scotland. Professionally I'm mostly interested in various aspects of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and its impact on measuring "beyond Standard Model" particles and/or Higgs bosons, and in simulating such things as well as possible. Outside work, I try to spend my dwindling amount of free time climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking or otherwise trying to scare myself (kite surfing is the latest fad)... and more conventionally obsessing about books, films and good food.
