A highly experienced and pragmatic Software Developer with over eighteen years’ experience developing traditional and Cloud based applications for some of the world’s leading companies including BP, Deutsche Bank, EasyJet and Maersk. My experience covers a wide range of technology stacks and platforms and I strive to develop applications that are robust and easy to use for the end user. I am particularly interested in emerging technologies and working with early stage companies where I can provide advice and guidance in system design and architecture and on how they can best use IT to grow their business.
Over the last ten years I have developed and help build the reputation of 3 successful SaaS applications covering business areas such as HR, recruitment and real time incident management. My career has seen me work with a variety of technology and programming languages; primarily using the .Net framework (including ASP.Net and the MVC framework) and SQL Server. However, I have also developed solutions using C++ (including Qt), Python (including Django) and Ruby (including Rails).
I am married to Lorraine and the father of one, very active and bright, son. I am a strict vegetarian and love most types of music, especially American Roots music.
