Andy Richter is a photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, working in documentary, editorial, nonprofit and commercial photography.

His current work explores identity, personal transformation, culture and the sense of self. In recent years, he has worked on international projects like “Hearing Around the World”, “Youth Culture Taipei” and “Oro Win”, photographed in the Brazilian Amazon with an indigenous tribe on the cusp of great change. The intimate personal project, “Louise B. Moore” is about his grandmother who recently passed away at the age of 93 and their relationship during the last years of her life. His project about Childhood Obesity with Time Magazine looks at health, body consciousness, and the process of physical and emotional change. The multimedia piece can be viewed on Time.com. An avid yogi for years, Andy’s ongoing exploration of yoga is the next step, a personal journey into this transformative way of being. He is represented by Aurora Photos and Getty Global Assignment.
