Dr Andy Williamson
Democracy has become arrogant and controlling. Lots of us are frustrated by this; some think digital is the answer, others are looking for new political leaders. Trouble is none of this touches the structural issues that lie at the heart of the problem. So that’s what I do.
I help parliaments, governments and civil society organisations to make democracy work better. I do this by transforming the underlying architecture, helping it to become more intimate and co-creating. In fact, someone recently called me an “architect for democracy”.
I've got extensive international experience in leading, understanding and facilitating innovation, both in democratic settings and within organisations, in digital policy and strategic transformation. Above all, what I do is find innovative ways to make democracy work better for all of us by connecting us more effectively with it.
