Angela Alexander

Houston, TX

I am a TRIUMPH postdoc at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I am performing research on inflammatory breast cancer therapeutic targets especially those involving the cell cycle and other signaling pathways.

I obtained my PhD in 2011 in molecular carcinogenesis at the Smithville campus of MD Anderson, and prior to graduate school, I was an undergrad at the University of Delaware, where I was a Dean's Scholar, allowing me to obtain my BS in Finance, while indulging my love of science (mainly biology and chemistry). I also worked in the Undergraduate Admissions Office throughout UG.

When I'm not being all academic and serious, I love to travel, make music (I play the flute) and tinker with online stuff. Oh yeah, I'm a big Mac and iPhone fan. Go Apple!
