“Welcome aboard the Plane Train. The next stop is for A Gates. A, as in Alpha… please collect your belongings and watch your step as you exit.” I can probably recite the entire Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson airport train script. After visiting over 30 states and 2 foreign countries, I can safely say I have a love for travelling. Nothing excites me more than the complimentary hotel breakfasts, 18-hour flights across the never-ending oceans, or the overpriced stores at the airport. The exposure to various parts around the world has allowed me to appreciate different ideas and cultures.
Having a Nepali background, I have visited Nepal many times, and each trip I gain a better understanding of life in a country on the opposite end of the globe. I have been introduced to a rural way of life with my extended family in the small village of Wangla. Maybe someday I will gather the courage to climb the breathtaking Himalaya mountains… probably not. In 2015, I was given the opportunity to travel to Japan. I was in awe as I toured the city of Kyoto and walked beneath the bright Japanese cherry blossoms. The sunset over the vast pacific ocean in Osaka is still etched into my mind. My travels in the states have been just as memorable. From the peaceful hills of Oregon, to the bright lights of Times Square, I’ve never had a dull moment road-tripping across the nation.
In the future, I hope to secure an occupation in the medical field that allows me to experience more parts of the world and aid those who are in need of support. I am excited to see what new travels my future holds. My suitcase, passport, and I are ready to fuel my passion. Where to next?
